In light of all the news regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we wanted to share some information with you.
Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak we ask that if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or a fever to stay home if possible. We are happy to reschedule your appointment. Please let the front desk know if you are experiencing symptoms, or have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 person.
Our staff will be taking precautions in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading. We ask that you follow the CDC’s guidelines and take steps to protect yourself. Remember to wash your hands often, don’t touch your face and cover your sneeze or cough.

Dear Clients,
The goal of my post is to inform and to provide the most accurate and objective information I can. It is important we all take precaution but not create panic. Northern Lakes Veterinary Hospital is open. We are staggering our appointment times to minimize any congestion in our lobby. We will continue to sanitize all surfaces. We are also happy to bring items out to your vehicle.
While dogs are susceptible to a strain of Coronavirus it is different than COVID-19. The current understanding is that COVID-19 poses no significant threat to your family pets, or to their families. Please do not panic and take your family pet to the shelter. Please call your family veterinarian for any further updates or clarification on this evolving situation.
We want everyone to be safe & healthy and we want you to know we are here to assist you with your pet’s health care needs. We are all in this together! Stay well, we will get through this!
– Dr Don Lester
